Family Fees
We charge a fixed fee of £500.00 plus VAT (£100.00) and Court fees (currently £593.00) for acting for an Applicant in uncontested divorce proceedings.
If you are on a low income you may be eligible for a fee exemption/reduction.
We charge a fee of £250.00 plus VAT (£50.00) for acting for a Respondent in uncontested divorce proceedings.
An experienced Family Law solicitor will be acting for you personally through the process.
If there are other issues that need to be resolved in your divorce (for example issues relating to finances or children) then your conducting solicitor will be happy to provide you with a specific written fee estimate when receiving further details from you.
Our Family Law solicitors offer an initial fixed fee appointment to discuss any potential issues arising out of the divorce and they charge £50.00 plus £10.00 VAT for that initial fixed fee appointment.
Thereafter our family law solicitor charges an hourly rate of £200.00 plus VAT.
The disbursements (for example Court fees) will vary considerably depending on the type of case that will typically involve Court fees from £200-£300.
Martins Solicitors do not undertake publicly funded legal aid work.
